The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan intends to use the loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to finance modernization projects for water and wastewater infrastructure in several regions of Uzbekistan.
The projects are expected to increase the number of people connected to the water and wastewater network, improve water quality, reduce water losses, enhance energy efficiency, and improve the quality of wastewater treatment.
GREEN Engineering and Finance will assist the EBRD in monitoring the preparation and implementation of the projects. GREEN Engineering and Finance will monitor tender processes and contract awards, implementation of the contracts, and environmental and social mitigation measures, and identify key problems and risks to take timely corrective actions.
