The GREEN international team completed a detailed expertise of the project "Improvement of Water Supply and Sanitation in Rural Settlements of Osh Province of the Kyrgyz Republic". The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Eurasian Fund for Stabilisation and Development of the Eurasian Development Bank.
A total of 33 settlements took part in the project, where a centralised drinking water supply system will soon be organised for the first time. The project is aimed at making a significant contribution to solving the problem of access to drinking water, reducing the time required for its collection, as well as reducing the number of diseases caused by poor water quality.
GREEN team of engineers, environmentalists, sociologists, financiers and lawyers developed a full-scale feasibility study of the project. The feasibility study includes proposals for technical solutions for the future water supply system, detailed financial analysis, socio-environmental analysis and results of public hearings, institutional analysis of the current legislation of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, procurement strategy for the project, and much more.
