On September 20, the GREEN team held a kick-off meeting on the Ulaanbaatar Green Affordable Housing project, Mongolia. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar, EBRD and the Consultant’s JV participants.
The project is being implemented with funding from the EBRD and involves the construction of a residential complex with more than 700 apartments, supporting infrastructure and public spaces. The residential complex will be the first large project in Mongolia to meet the international green building standard EDGE, developed by IFC!
As part of the project, the JV led by GREEN will be responsible for a project implementation unit establishment, surveys, preliminary design, construction permits, tender procedures for selecting a general contractor, as well as disbursements under the loan agreement and managing environmental and social aspects of the project. In addition, GREEN will ensure that the project meets the EDGE standard and receives appropriate certification upon completion of construction.
