GREEN team held a kick-off meeting on the Ulaanbaatar Green Affordable Housing project, Mongolia

On#nbsp;September 20, the GREEN team held a#nbsp;kick-off meeting on#nbsp;the Ulaanbaatar Green Affordable Housing project, Mongolia. The meeting was attended by#nbsp;representatives of#nbsp;the Municipality of#nbsp;Ulaanbaatar, EBRD and the Consultant’s#nbsp;JV participants.

The project is#nbsp;being implemented with funding from the EBRD and involves the construction of#nbsp;a#nbsp;residential complex with more than 700 apartments, supporting infrastructure and public spaces. The residential complex will be#nbsp;the first large project in#nbsp;Mongolia to#nbsp;meet the international green building standard EDGE, developed by#nbsp;IFC!

As#nbsp;part of#nbsp;the project, the#nbsp;JV led by#nbsp;GREEN will be#nbsp;responsible for a#nbsp;project implementation unit establishment, surveys, preliminary design, construction permits, tender procedures for selecting a#nbsp;general contractor, as#nbsp;well as#nbsp;disbursements under the loan agreement and managing environmental and social aspects of#nbsp;the project. In#nbsp;addition, GREEN will ensure that the project meets the EDGE standard and receives appropriate certification upon completion of#nbsp;construction.
